Goal Profits is an award-winning Betfair football trading community which was created by professional football traders Steve Brown and Kevin Laverick in 2011. With its superlative football trading course, multifaceted football statistics database and friendly online community it is without doubt the best place to learn almost every aspect of football trading on Betfair.
How Does Goal Profits Work?
Goal Profits has a Member’s Area that offers a full training course in trading 15+ football strategies for over 60 leagues from around the world. Each strategy is accompanied by Goal Profits’ renowned ‘Team Stats’ software which highlights the prime opportunities to execute potential profitable trades. This effectively cuts out all the hard work for the trader in finding the best data for their trades.
In terms of training, learning resources and presenting optimised data it is the perfect storm for helping any sports trader become successful in their football trading endeavours.
What Do I Get with Goal Profits?
There are many, many facets to the website and I will not cover them all in detail here. Almost anything and everything that you think a football trader may need can be found within the Member’s Area. Subscribing to the Goal Profits Member’s Area get you access to its:
- ‘Launchpad’ football trading course – which provides written guides and videos to 19+ profitable football strategies plus info regarding bank management, staking and trading psychology
- ‘Team Stats’ football statistics database – which holds the statistical information for 65 leagues around the world. This uses a process called Match Finder which automatically sorts and filters relevant data from Team Stats by specific criteria to fit 15+ strategies available on the football matches for the next 7 days (this is an absolutely game-changing tool that offers possibly the ultimate edge in football trading)
- Online community of traders – With a chatroom for traders to communicate and help each other exploit the opportunities ‘Team Stats’ throws up. And a forum for people to ask their trading related questions
- Newsletter – Sent almost daily in the evening with a review of days’ trades and informing subscribers as to what matches and strategies will be traded live in the chatroom the following day
What Ways Can I Use Goal Profits?
There are a variety of ways to use Goal Profits depending on your level of trading ability. Whilst the service has its uses for outright beginners, novice traders and professionals the majority of the content in the Member’s Area is tailored for beginning and novice traders alike. I will focus on two main areas below – Launchpad Training and Data Finding.
Goal Profits has the most comprehensive and well laid out training section that I have seen on any of the tools listed on Sports Trading Tools. This was overhauled in April 2017 to streamline the modules and to give a fresher look to the Team Stats data. It is grouped into the following 4 sections:
1. GP Basics
This includes the FAQs, Glossary of Terms, information on how to use the Team Stats software most effectively and a section about the Launchpad Mentors – Tim and Bryn. These guys are professional traders who have been able to use Goal Profits so effectively that they have been able to quit their job. They act as mentors by providing advice through the forum and chatroom to help others get the most out of such a powerful tool. They also keep a trading journey diary on the forum which members can read.
2. Trading Basics
Which includes information on Mindset, How to Build Your Portfolio of football trading strategies, Bank Management, Staking, Results and Dealing with Losses. None of these pages are massively in depth, but they don’t need to be as they focus on the most important information and deliver it in a simple style.
3. Weekly Modules
There are 16 weekly modules introduced here which cover over 15 strategies. You are not forced to go through each one week by week, they are all unlocked right from the very start. But it is recommended that new traders follow the defined pathway as it will build your knowledge from the ground up on the path from novice to pro.
Each of these weekly modules are explained in-depth via written guides with some of the strategies also including video example. They are also accompanied by the Team Stats software which will automatically find the best trading options which fit with whatever strategy you’re looking at (which I have named Match Finder in the image below). It can’t be underestimated just how beneficial this is as it essentially cuts out all of the hard research work.
4. Case Studies
At the time of writing this review (April 2017) there are 9 Case Studies listed. This has grown from the 4 or 5 that were on the site when I first signed up. These are Steve’s Case Study example of his thought process from the moment he researched his day’s trades to how the games panned out and how he conducted the trade as it was in-play and then ends with a summary which provides the lesson that can be learnt from that trading sessions.
It is clear to see that the team at GP really do understand the journey that all new traders go on and everything is in place here to help you succeed. In my experience, you will have to go some to find a level of training that is better, or even rivals, this.
With the unique Team Stats software users of the site can research their potential trades in one of three ways:
- Sift through the Team Stats data manually see if you can sport your own opportunities
- Use the strategies within the Launchpad Training section where Team Stats and Match Finder will do the hard work for you in finding potential trades within that strategies’ defined criteria
- Build your own Custom Shortlists through selecting the criteria you wish your data to be filtered through.
Your level of trading expertise will obviously tell you which one of these you will be more comfortable with. But I obviously recommend that new users stick to the strategies and data combination within the Launchpad Training.
As mentioned at the beginning of this piece, the Team Stats software provides one hell of an edge in football trading. This software is so very sophisticated and in-depth but is so simple to use. Without data and research your football trading is almost doomed to fail, but when you introduce Team Stats it cuts out a lot of the hassle that comes with finding the best angles to trade a match. It is especially fantastic if you’re not keen on the hassle that comes with collecting and storing your own data.
Some Optional Additions
Within the Member’s Area there are a couple of optional add-ons which you can choose to pay extra for. I’ve personally never used these options as I already had subscriptions to other tools which are very similar, however, I’ve heard feedback from the members who use them and say that they are great pieces of kit.
GP Live! is not something that I had use for as I already had subscription to the In-Play Scanner and Football Form Labs Black which has an in-play function which alerts you to the best stats relating time of the game and the current score.
I imagine this is how GP Live! works – a combination of the two.
Pre-Match Scalping Tool
This is a price-movement tracking software that will provide you will all the necessary information needed to scalp the pre-match football markets successfully. Again, as I already had a subscription to the Pre-Match Trading tool I didn’t see the point in signing up to this too.
Goal Profits is an incredible website and community with all the bells and whistles to help anyone become a successful football trader. My only regret is that I wish I had discovered it at the start of my sports trading journey, but hey, that’s why I created a website like Sports Trading Tools so you can find the right tools to suit you.
Whether you’re a beginner trader or more advanced there is something for everyone here, it has a couple of unique features which are really powerful tools and will provide you with the edge over the market in your football trading. Frankly, folks, football tools don’t get much better than this.

Is Goal Profits of any use during the summer when the European Leagues have their summer break?
Yes. The software provides data for over 60 leagues around the world and these include the Mexican Leagues and the MLS in the USA. These are leagues which are worth trading as they are reliable due to the good standard of players playing within these leagues.
